First of all, congrats on the new house !!!
As for the cats, don't worry - cats are a lot more sociable than we usually give them credit for. So I'm sure your two will get along just fine :-) Who knows you might soon have more than two...
Anyway, I have been really lucky so far that my cats get along well. I suppose it helps that they are indoor cats. So they don't really have a choice ;-) Also the last three additions to the cat herd were all kittens... my older cats felt a lot less "threatened" by them :-)
Otherwise here's what works for me when introducing a new cat: I keep the new cat separate for a week or two. In my case that means locking them in the bathroom as this is the only room I can really close off. This gives the new cat time to get used to me and to start feel comfortable in his new environment. During those first weeks I also gradually let the other cats into the room. A few minutes at a time at first, then for longer. Of course there's a lot of hissing and sniffing at first ;-) But gradually the new cat will want to follow the others into the rest of the apartment... With Woody - who is very, very social - this took just one day, Wally and Sammy were a lot more timid... In your case, as both cats will be in a new home, I suppose I would keep them each in a separate room for a while and then introduce them to each other under supervision - lot's of cuddles always seem to help ;-) And if your cats are used to being outdoors, I would keep them inside while they get used to each other. Otherwise one might decide he's not ok with his new living arrangements and wander off... (all the dirty litter all over the floor everyday...) I was just wandering if you have some tips about putting cats together, because I have two cats but one of them lives with my dad because we live in a tiny studio, but soon we will be moving and the two cats can live with us in the house. But I'm afraid they won't get along...but your cats seem to love eachother so much, so whats the trick? :)

www.lcnoir.comLe Chat Noirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11225377035276315123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6961612027410915984.post-71818067530695567352014-02-03T22:17:22.526+01:002014-02-03T22:17:22.526+01:00looks like cat heaven! ♥looks like cat heaven! ♥Merlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16929652784346587512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6961612027410915984.post-35946134949042261902014-02-03T20:53:02.247+01:002014-02-03T20:53:02.247+01:00I know what you mean!
